Google has a reputation for being somewhat of a strange company when it comes to futuristic devices, and this product does nothing but accentuate that theory. The Nexus Q is a social streaming device from Google that allows users to stream music, movies, and YouTube videos from the cloud, and create collaborative playlists from different devices. The Nexus Q comes with dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a 25-watt amp allowing the user to plug-in their own speakers (which Google happens to sell, for $399). The Nexus Q is available for pre-order now, priced at $299, and will ship in mid-July.
